Firestone APP 160 Torch & Cool

Modified Bitumen consist of select asphalt, modified with atactic polypropylene, and strengthened with a fiber glass reinforced nonwoven polyester mat made with 100% recycled PET fibers. The combination results in a flexible and durable material that exceeds the performance requirements of ASTM D 6222 Type I, Grade S, is strong and stable, and is resistant to natural forces and other factors on the rooftop. They are ideal for both new construction and re-roofing applications as a base ply, cap sheet, or as a flashing sheet in single or multi-ply APP applications.

Firestone SBS Cap Modified Bitumen

Firestone SBS Cap Modified Bitumen is reinforced with a 190 g/m² (3.89 lb/100 ft²) strong non-woven polyester mat enhanced with continuous fiber glass yarns. The addition of SBS rubber polymer optimizes the asphalt blend to increase its natural waterproofing properties, adding elongation, elasticity and flexibility to the sheet. The fiberglass reinforced polyester mat provides strength and stability to the product, yielding a membrane that resists natural forces and other factors on the roof-top. SBS Cap Modified Bitumen can be installed in hot asphalt, with cold adhesive. Firestone SBS Systems are ideal for use on both new construction and re-roofing projects.
